Paul Francis Lempke at Kauppi Resort north of Gay

Paul Francis Lempke was 48 years old when he was drowned in Lake Superior at Keweenaw County’s Sherman Township. According to Sheriff’s deputies, they receive a missing report about Paul around 9:30 am. He was camping with a friend at the Kauppi Resort when he went for a walk and was last seen on a break wall near the resort docks. The crew members found his body around 4 pm near the docks.
