Rene Padilla at 31st Street Beach

Rene Padilla, a devoted father died in Lake Michigan while trying to save her daughter who slipped and fell from the rock into the water. Padilla took a day off from work and wanted to spend a day with her two daughters before they go to school next week. Witnesses told the police that first Rene’s daughter fell into the water and after her, he jumped in but strong waves overtake him and we saw him drowned.
