Rod Nilsestuen at Lake Superior

Rod Nilsestuen was 63 years old when he was drowned in Lake Superior while swimming. Marquette police said that they receive the report around 5:47 p.m. that a man who was swimming was having difficulty in the water. After they search for 50 minutes, two searchers in the boat found a man floating in the water about 300 yards south of Picnic Rocks. He was immediately taken to Marquette General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
