Ryan Harms at Saugatuck Dunes State Park

Ryan Harms was just 30 years old when he lost his life while swimming at Lake Michigan near Saugatuck Dunes State Park. Ryan was in the water by himself for about 15 20 minutes when his friends went to check on him. His friends and other beachgoers pulled him out of the water but he was not breathing at that time. The rescuers immediately started to give him life measurements but all were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
