Ryan Leppard-Groenewegen at Malahide Township

Ryan Leppard was 49 years old when he was drowned in Lake Erie near Malahide Township while fishing with friends. It was just around 7 pm when the police received the call that a possible drowning has happened between Port Bruce and Port Burwell.

The police were then joined by Local EMS, Firefighters, rescue workers, and the Canadian Coast Guard. They located the body of Ryan inside the water and take him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation revealed that the man fall from the boat while fishing with friends and according to the police, no foul play was involved.
