Santos Cuc Diaz at Wheatley Provincial Park

Santos Cuc Diaz was 28 years old when he was drowned in Lake Erie near Wheatley Provincial Park. He was drowned while exploring the sandbar at the extreme western edge of the park when he slipped underwater. The 911 received the call around 4 pm on Sunday when Santos went underwater. He was inside the water for about 10 minutes when the paramedic staff takes him out of the water and transported him to the local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
