Slavisa Bugarcic at Mentor, OH

Slavisa Bugarcic was 34 years old when he was drowned in Lake Erie. According to the reports, Bugarcic was participating in the swimming contest in the triathlon when he and his companion Smith become tired. Bugarcic went underwater trying to get to the shore while his friend Smith calls out for help. Within 30 seconds he was pulled out of the water and taken to TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township where his circulation was restored. But within 24 hours he was declared brain dead.
