Taylor McNamee at Sand Dunes Beach

Taylor McNamee was just 28 years old when she was drowned in Lake Michigan near Sand Dunes Beach while swimming. The officials were called to the scene at about 4 pm when onlookers see that Taylor and one 13-year-old girl were swimming far away in Lake Michigan.

At one point it seems that they were head high in the water and at another moment they saw that they were gone inside the water. The bystanders pulled the 13-year-old girl out of the water. She was doing fine and conscious. The 28-year-old Taylor was not seeing anywhere.

After some time her body was seen by a bystander floating in the water. She was pulled to a US Coast guard boat and taken to Mackinac Area Straits Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
