Terry Vernell Turner at Pere Marquette Beach

Terry Vernell Turner, a guy just 30 years old, drowned in Lake Michigan at Pere Marquette Beach.

The incident happened on July 5th, when Terry enjoyed time with his family on the beach.

Suddenly, Terry’s son saw his sister struggling in the water. Terry went after her, but he was also sucked under the water.

Terry and his daughter both went underwater. The rescuers take both of them out of the water. Both of them are unresponsive.

They performed CPR on both of them. Terry’s daughter was resuscitated after 2 minutes, but they could not revive Terry even though they performed CPR for about 12 minutes.

They were taken to Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital in Muskegon, where his daughter was released on that night but Terry remains in critical condition.

He passed away on July 17.
