Thomas Kenning at Indiana Dunes National Park

Thomas Kenning was 38 years old when he drowned in Lake Michigan while trying to save a girl. Thomas visited Porter Beach in Indiana with his family when he saw a girl in distress. He hurriedly went inside the water, manages to save the girl, and help her to reach safety before he went underwater and didn’t resurface. The lifeguards take his body out of the water and performed CPR but efforts to revive him are not successful.
