Tristan Shambee at Lake Michigan

Tristan Shambee, a teen just 14 years old drowned at Gilson Park in Wilmette. He was swimming with friends when caught in a rip current. The US Coast guard says that waves were high and strong winds create very dangerous conditions. Tristan’s friends told his family that his head was fit on the rock and then he was pulled under. It took about two hours for the police to find his body.
