Two unknown Kayakers died at Cave Point County Park

The bodies of two kayakers were pulled from Lake Michigan at Cave Point County Park. At about 11:30 am Friday, a call came to the Police rescue department that two kayaks were capsized and as a result, two men were in distress in the water. The victims are not wearing any flotation device and the water temperature is 43 degrees at that time. The Jacksonport fireboat was able to locate the men and pulled them to the boat before transferring them to the US coast guard boat. The men were then taken to Door County Medical Center by ambulance where they were pronounced dead.
