Yasheonna White at Washington Park Beach

Yasheonna White was only 11 years old when she was drowned in Lake Michigan near Washington Park Beach. She was with her two family members when a huge wave pulled them into the deeper water. The two family members were saved by the people but Yasheonna went underwater. Her body was found by emergency responders around 40 minutes later of the incident. She was immediately taken to Franciscan Health Michigan City hospital where she was pronounced dead.
